Sandals Royal Plantation



At the end of 2014, I did my last getaway before my baby George was born. Where better to BabyMoon than Sandals! My husband Chris and I were spoiled with butler service in the exclusive Sandals Royal Plantation Resort. Except for the front desk check in person, they didn’t know I was an agent, which is the way I like to travel so I can see how my clients will really experience and I sure got the wow factor on this trip!

When you stay at a Sandals in butler service you are assigned 2 butlers (because they can’t work 24 hours a day) and both of our butlers became our friends! Here are some examples of their awesome service that just made our trip memorable:

We went in to eat at Himitsu, the Japanese restaurant at Sandals Ochi, next door. (When you are at Royal Plantation you have full access to the Sandals next door.) Chris was wearing khaki shorts and they have a dress code for men – only long pants! We gave a call over to Shawn, our butler, and he went to our room and brought Chris's pants! He hurried so we didn’t miss our reservation at the tepanyaki table!

One night, our other butler, Fiona, asked us where we were planning to eat for dinner. I hadn’t put too much thought into it. She said how about French food? I said “Oh that’s not my favorite” and she said “Well we are having lobster tonight.” I quickly changed my mind! And good thing she thought about us! They have very limited seating at the French restaurant and had already made us reservations.

Since it was our BabyMoon, Shawn decided to surprise us on our last night with decorating our room. He had balloons and Congratulations, It’s a Boy! It was just a fun way to end our trip.

In all, we had great food and drinks and SERVICE! This is what made our trip. If you are a service oriented traveler, you must let us send you to Sandals to be spoiled by butler service.
